Highlights

Single largest offshore EPCI project awarded by Saudi Aramco in McDermott’s history.
Landmark project where McDermott transitions from its legacy conventional float over methodology to DP (Dynamic Positioning) for all six large topsides.
Project execution spread over five fabrication yards.

The project comprises an entire offshore GOSP complex including gas compression, production and accommodation topsides. In addition, 36” trunkline, two 230KV subsea cables, and onshore scope for overhead transmission lines. McDermott manages interfaces with several other contractors involved in the Marjan Increment Program.

McDermott was selected for the Marjan Package 4 project in 2019, representing the second largest EPCI offshore contract to be awarded from Saudi Aramco in the Marjan Increment development. The project has a large fabrication scope, including gas tie-in and gas wellhead platforms, with pipelines and subsea cables.

Highlights

The largest single offshore contracts McDermott has been awarded in its history.
For the first time, four of the WHT, plus all subsea infrastructure, are being fabricated in the QFAB yard with support from our fabrication yard in Batam, Indonesia.
Fabrication and installation of eight wellhead topsides (WHT) for North Field East (NFE), five WHT for North Field South (NFS) and two sensory tower platforms (STP).
The subsea pipeline scope includes 300 miles of pipelines. In addition, 140 miles of 33kV subsea cables and associated works complete the offshore scope.

The project comprises the delivery of wellhead topsides, associated subsea pipelines, and subsea cables. The project also includes an onshore pipeline scope, including a beach valve station, and sensory tower platforms. When complete, the platforms will provide feed gas to the first of six new LNG trains currently under construction in Qatar.
